Akram El-Karrar, CPA: Fractional CFO in Muscat and Sydney

Akram El-Karrar, CPA, is a Fractional CFO and the founder of OmniScope360. He began his career in Big 4 audit at KPMG and has spent more than 10 years in CFO and senior finance roles across the GCC. He helps founders take control of cash, build reporting they can trust, and get investor- and lender-ready. The result is a business that runs on numbers, not guesswork.

About Akram

As Finance Manager and CFO at Green Motion International Oman (Discovery Group), he built the finance function from the reporting layer up, including a fleet revenue reporting system with vehicle-level profitability, 13-week cash flow models and group management reporting for leadership.

He also led the finance side of the liquidation of three Omani LLCs, working alongside an appointed liquidator. That work taught him what happens when cash, controls and compliance are left too late, and he brings that lesson into every growing business he works with. Akram works where finance meets operations: he builds the systems behind the reports, the monthly close, the dashboards, the controls and the forecasting rhythm that let a founder decide with confidence.

What Akram brings to your business

  • Cash visibility and control: Rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts, so you see a cash gap before it happens rather than after.
  • Reporting you can trust: Monthly management packs, KPI dashboards and profitability analysis by product, branch or asset.
  • A faster, cleaner month-end close: Structured close processes, reconciliations and internal controls that hold up under audit.
  • Unit economics clarity: Knowing which customers, products and locations actually make money.
  • Capital readiness: Financial models, budgets and investor- or bank-ready narratives for funding, expansion or franchising.
  • Audit and compliance confidence: A Big 4 lens on your books before your auditors, regulators or buyers apply one.
  • Restructuring and exit experience: Practical, hands-on experience of company wind-downs and liquidation for businesses facing difficult decisions.

Credentials and education

How I work: five principles

  • Every spend has a return. If it cannot be measured, it is a guess.
  • Build it once and make it run itself: automate the numbers, not only report them.
  • Speak the other person's language: finance, marketing and engineering.
  • Negotiate with data. Know what a deal is worth before you sit down.
  • Audit-grade by default: control and documentation from the first month.
