How to read the result
- Runway is cash on hand divided by monthly net burn. If you are cash positive, there is no burn and no runway limit.
- A common rule of thumb is to start a funding or cost conversation when runway falls below six months.
- This is a quick check, not a forecast. A real 13-week forecast uses invoice dates, payment terms and tax dates, which is what OmniScope360 builds.
Frequently asked questions
Is the cash runway calculator free?
Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser, so your numbers are not sent anywhere.
How is runway calculated?
Runway in months is your cash balance divided by monthly net burn, where net burn is monthly cash out minus monthly cash in. If cash in is higher than cash out you are cash positive and the runway is not limited.
What is the difference between runway and a 13-week cash forecast?
Runway is a single average. A 13-week forecast shows each week with real invoice dates, payroll, rent, loan repayments and tax payments, so it shows the week you run short, not only the month.
