13-Week Cash Flow Forecasting for Startups
Profit is an opinion; cash is a fact. A rolling 13-week cash forecast shows week by week what will come in, what must go out and when you will be short, early enough to act. OmniScope360 builds and maintains it for startups in Oman, the GCC and Sydney.
What the forecast covers
- Customer receipts, based on invoice dates and how your customers actually pay
- Supplier, payroll, rent and loan payments
- Tax cash: VAT returns in Oman and BAS, PAYG and super in Australia
- Capex, owner drawings and planned funding
- A minimum cash buffer, with an alert when the forecast falls below it
How it is used
- Decide which supplier to pay first and which customer to chase
- Time purchases, hiring and stock orders against cash, not hope
- Test a what-if (a delayed project, a lost client, a new branch) before committing
- Show a bank or investor that cash is under control
How we build it
We start from your bank balance and your ageing reports, agree the assumptions with you, and rebuild the forecast weekly or monthly. You receive a short summary with the three things that changed since last time and what we recommend.

Frequently asked questions
Thirteen weeks is one quarter. It is long enough to see problems coming and short enough to forecast with real invoices and payment dates instead of guesses.
Is a cash flow forecast the same as a budget? No. A budget is a plan for profit over a year. A cash forecast tracks actual bank movements week by week, including timing differences between invoicing and payment.
Which software do you use?We work in Excel or Google Sheets and connect to your accounting software, such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, for the actuals.
